OUR PURPOSE
Strengthening Association Leadership Across Asia Pacific
The Asia Pacific Society of Association Executives (APSAE) was established to strengthen association leadership across one of the world’s most diverse and fastest-growing regions.
Asia Pacific is home to millions of professionals represented by associations operating across vastly different cultural, regulatory, and economic environments. Yet until now, there has been no dedicated, region-wide platform focused exclusively on advancing association leadership excellence in APAC.
APSAE exists to bring these leaders together — to learn from one another, raise professional standards, and build a stronger, more connected regional ecosystem.
Why APSAE Must Exist
Asia Pacific is the fastest-growing region for associations, professional communities, and business events — yet it remains one of the most fragmented.
Despite this growth, many association leaders continue to rely on frameworks and benchmarks developed for other regions. These models often do not reflect the complexity, diversity, and realities of APAC markets.

A Neutral, Community-Led Platform
APSAE is a Singapore-registered, non-profit organization with governance structures designed to ensure independence, transparency, and credibility.
The Society operates as a neutral convener, bringing together association leaders, knowledge partners, institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders without promoting commercial interests.
Our programs, research, and initiatives are shaped by the needs of the APAC association community.
Looking Ahead
APSAE will officially launch in July 2026 in Singapore, with the inaugural APSAE Summit bringing together senior leaders from across the region.
This marks the beginning of a long-term journey to strengthen association leadership, build regional capability, and elevate Asia Pacific’s voice on the global stage.
